Scarborough Renaissance Festival is located at 2511 FM 66 Waxahachie, TX 75167. Scarborough Renaissance Festival is just 30 minutes south of the downtowns of Dallas & Fort Worth, one mile west of I-35E south at the exit for FM 66 near historic downtown Waxahachie.

What is the best time to arrive?

Without question the best time to arrive is as close to our 10am opening as possible. There is even a pre-opening show at the village gates beginning at 9:45 am.

There is a lot to see in a day (or even two). With 20+ stages of entertainment and over 200 shoppes, the longer you have to visit Scarborough Renaissance Festival, the more you will be able to see and experience.

The resident wizard has proclaimed there will be no rain during the annual Scarborough Renaissance Festival, but should you be favored with some liquid sunshine, sun slicks and umbrellas are for sale at the souvenir shoppes.

Is there Handicap Accessibility at the Festival?

The Festival site is generally handicapped accessible.

Dragon Wagons Festival Scooters, located just outside the front gate, rents electric scooters by reservation and Dragon Wagon covered wagons for walk-up patrons. If you are interested in renting a scooter in advance, please call 817-808-6249 or email[emailprotected]for more information.

Do you rent wheelchairs/electric scooters/wagons?

Do you accept Credit Cards?

The Scarborough Renaissance Festival ticket office, souvenir shoppes, the Rose & Crown Inn full-service restaurant & bar, most food, drink and pub locations, and most of the artisan shoppes accept most major credit cards.

However, games and rides ONLY accept cash.

For your convenience there are ATM’s located throughout the Festival site although we recommend that you bring sufficient cash with you for your visit.

If you do not wish to carry cash, you can purchase “Renaissance Dollars” at our Ticket Office. Renaissance Dollars are accepted like cash throughout the Festival.

Where are the ATMs?

ATMs are located at:

• The Main and Pecan Grove Souvenir Shoppes
• Across from the Falconry Privies (against the fence)
• The King’s Pub
• Next to the Rose & Crown Restaurant on the back side of Crown Kitchens
• Pasta Palace Seating Area
• Dirty Duck Pub
• Cat and Fiddle Tavern

We recommend that you bring sufficient cash with you for your visit as cashas some food, drink, artisan shoppes, games and rides ONLY accept cash.

If you do not wish to carry cash, you can purchase “Renaissance Dollars” at our Ticket Office. Renaissance Dollars are accepted like cash throughout the Festival.

• Numerous uniformed and plain clothed security officers along with the Festival’s Safety Services personnel patrol the Festival with radios.
• If for any reason you need security or first aid, please stop one of our security officers or Safety Services personnel; or stop by any of the food booths areas (kitchens), the front gate, pubs/taverns or ask a Scarborough Renaissance Festival staff member to contact security or first aid.
• We ask everyone to be Faire Aware! If you see something that doesn’t look right, please say something to our Safety Services personnel, uniformed police officers, or our staff members.
• By visiting Scarborough Renaissance Festival, you agree to follow all posted instructions and guidelines. This includes being subject to security screenings and policies that prohibit items such as weapons (see full weapons policy here), outside food & drink (see outside food & drink policies here), inappropriate attire (see dress policy here), pets (see pet policy here) and/or other policies.
• Entry into the Festival is contingent on a security screening process including bags checked for any illegal or prohibited items.
• Please be respectful of everyone at the Festival. Behavior that is unruly, disruptive, offensive, or illegal is prohibited.
• The management of Scarborough Renaissance Festival may refuse or withdraw admission due to violations of our policies or any behavior it deems to be inappropriate or offensive. For additional rules and legal disclosures, please refer to your admission ticket or the FAQ listed on this page.
• In addition to our safety measures, we encourage our patrons to lock their vehicles and hide personal items or valuables. Scarborough Renaissance Festival is not responsible for damage or theft

First Aid

What are we allowed to bring in?

No outside food or drink can be brought into the Festival with the exception of food and water for infants. No alcohol may be brought into or out of the Festival. See full alcohol policy in the “Do you serve alcohol?” FAQ below.

There are a number of water fountains located at all of the flush restrooms (called “Privies” at the Festival). The full list of water fountain locations can be found on the Festival map and in the Festival’s souvenir program.

There are also picnic tables located outside of the Festival gates if you wish to lunch on your own food.

No musical instruments may be brought into the Festival site and performing with musical instruments is also prohibited within the Festival site except by contracted Festival performers.

No pets are allowed in the Festival with the exception of service animals. Serviceanimals must be properly harnessed or leashed at all times.

Scarborough Renaissance Festival does NOT allow the open or concealed carry of licensed handguns or the unlicensed carry of any firearms in the Park:

• Pursuant to Section 30.07, Penal Code (trespass by license holder with an openly carried handgun), a person licensed under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Governmental Code (handgun licensing law), and may not enter this property with a handgun that is carried openly.
• Pursuant to Section 30.06, Penal Code (trespass by license holder with a concealed handgun), a person licensed under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Governmental Code (handgun licensing law), may not enter this property with a concealed handgun.
• Pursuant to Section 30.05, Penal Code (criminal trespass), a person may not enter this property with a firearm.

Trinket Trading Policy

We ask that anyone participating in the trading oftrinketsabide by the following rules:

1. No money can be exchanged fortrinketson Festival grounds. Only trading is permitted.
2. A maximum of 25trinketsper person will be allowed to be brought into the festival. Bulktrinkets(carried in cases, baskets, etc.) are not allowed.
3. Person to person exchanges only.
4. Trinketsmust be pre-assembled – no assembling/producing oftrinketsis allowed on the Festival grounds
5. Avoid mimicking products sold in the Scarborough artisan or souvenir shoppes

Violators to this policy will be subject to immediate removal from Scarborough Renaissance Festival without refund.

What is proper dress/attire?

Dress for a family friendly environment and with consideration of the weather for an outdoor event. We do admit costumes to add to the overall atmosphere of the Festival. Renaissance clothing is also available for rent or purchase from the fine clothiers at the Festival.

The Festival may refuse entry to anyone dressed in a manner that may be deemed by Festival management as offensive (i.e. attire that is excessively revealing or of transparent fabrics or has offensive symbols or images).

No musical instruments may be brought into the Festival site and performing with musical instruments is also prohibited within the Festival site except by contracted Festival performers.

What is the pet policy?

• NO pets are allowed in the Festival with the exception of service animals. Service
  animals are defined by the ADA (https://www.ada.gov/) as dogs that are individually
  trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Service animals must be
  properly harnessed or leashed at all times at Scarborough Renaissance Festival.
• Scarborough Renaissance Festival does not permit Emotional Support Animals,
  sometimes referred to as ESA’s.
• Scarborough Renaissance Festival® reserves the right to deny access or require removal
  of any service animal that is disruptive or poses a direct threat to the health and safety
  of others.

What is the weapons policy?

Scarborough Renaissance Festival discourages the use of weapons as costume adornments, as the safety of our patrons is our utmost concern. Any weapon adornment must be “peace-tied” and otherwise protected so any sharp edges are covered and so that it cannot be drawn or wielded while on the grounds. Front gate and Safety Services personnel will determine the appropriateness of such adornments and how they must be “peace-tied”.

Southwest Festivals, Inc. (parent company of Scarborough Renaissance Festival) reserves the right to exclude a patron or participant from wearing or carrying a weapon on Festival ground and to expel them for violations to this policy.

Scarborough Renaissance Festival does NOT allow the open or concealed carry of licensed handguns or the unlicensed carry of any firearms in the Park:

Do you serve alcohol?

For the enjoyment of those 21 & older we offer a wide variety of beer (include an excellent craft beer selection), seltzers, ciders, wine, frozen drinks and mead at our 14 pubs & taverns. We also have a full-service bar located in the Rose & Crown Inn Restaurant. Visit our section for more details.

We encourage all of our patrons/guests to drink responsibly. No one under the age of 21 is permitted to consume alcoholic beverages at the Festival and proper ID is required to purchase and/or consume alcohol.

No alcohol may be brought into the Festival. Alcoholic beverages purchased within the Festival must be consumed before leaving the Festival. Excessive consumption of alcohol is cause for ejection from the Festival without refund.

What Is the smoking policy?

Solicitation Policy

• No solicitation or distribution of any materials or information to either patrons or participants is allowed on the property of Scarborough Renaissance Festival without the express written permission of the management.
• No staging of any form of public event or protest on Scarborough Renaissance Festival property is allowed.

Photography/Videography

Please feel free to bring your camera!

If you represent any type of media outlet, website and/or are a blogger, please contact our Director of Marketing & Communications email for details about admission and disseminating photographs or videos of the Festival.

DISCLAIMER: Photography and/or videography of Scarborough Renaissance Festival attendees will be taking place at the Festival. By entering the Festival you are granting permission to Scarborough Renaissance Festival and its authorized agents to utilize any photographs or videos taken of you for promotional and/or commercial purposes or other transmission or reproduction in whole or in part of the Festival and release the Festival from any and all liability for damages associated with such usage.

Can I have a Wedding at Scarborough Renaissance Festival?

The Festival offers several wedding packages that can be customized to create the perfect day! Weddings at Scarborough Renaissance Festival are only available during the course of our 8 week Festival season each year.

How do I request donations of admission tickets for my organization?

Scarborough Renaissance Festival receives numerous donation requests and supports a wide
variety of charitable causes throughout the state of Texas. Unfortunately, we are not able to
provide donations to organizations outside the state of Texas. Donations are limited to
admission tickets to the Festival with a limited number of tickets available for each Festival
season.

2024 Donations will be focused on education-related organizations.

Donation requests must be submitted on the organization’s official letterhead and must be
submitted to “Scarborough Renaissance Festival Donations” via email
to [emailprotected]

The guidelines for Scarborough Renaissance Festival donation requests are as follows:

The requesting Organization must:

1. Be a valid 501(c))3 organization.
2. Provide a request letter on official organization letterhead.
3. Include organization and contact person’s address, telephone, and email address.
4. Submit its request a minimum of 1 month prior to fund raising event.
5. Specify the date of the fund raising event.
6. Include an explanation of the fund raising event.
7. Include an authorized signature on the request. (A principal must sign school requests.)
8. Include fliers or other collateral material with requests when available.
9. Submit the request by email to “[emailprotected]”. Telephone or mail requests
   will not be accepted.
